Chest Compression Systems

First responders often carry chest compression systems to provide automated chest compressions to patients in cardiac arrest. Chest compression systems provide several benefits to emergency caregivers:

  • Giving continuous, manual chest compressions can be tiring
  • In certain situations, giving chest compressions can be impossible
  • Automated compressions allows emergency personnel to focus other life-saving services
  • Mechanically controlled systems provide uninterrupted chest compressions
